Beach – SVB

The beach area is not very deep but they did have two rows of lounge chairs covered by straw canopies open for guests. We saw guests enjoying sand volleyball in front of the bali beds on several days. We enjoyed two days in the bali beds which cost $70-80 for the entire day, or the cost of a bottle. We chose some Moet for $188.

While there is soft white sand, it quickly changes to typical Pacific Ocean beach with pebbles and rocks. There is a small area marked for swimming but with the waves and yellow/red flags, we never saw anyone out there. We did see many people enjoying the paddle boards (free at the resort).

The beach area is open to the public and there are vendors available to sell merchandise and excursions but we did not engage with them. We simply said no and they would walk away. While a mild nuisance, it was not a big deal for us.

If you’re traveling October through March, you will likely see some Humpback Whales playing in the distance. When they’re spotted, you will hear the staff start ringing a bell to let the guests know they’re out there. We were lucky to see a mom and calf playing very close to the shore while we were there.
