We rarely venture off-site from an all-inclusive because there’s so much to do and enjoy at the resorts, but being here for 7-nights and so close to the city we saw it as a special opportunity to celebrate a birthday.
We contacted Chef Marco on Facebook after seeing several very positive reviews, and decided to have him cook for us at a Penthouse in the Romantic Zone. Our personalities clicked quickly as we shared our life stories and love for music, which made our two and a half hour celebration of food that much more enjoyable.
It’s hard to put into words the experience we had. Four frozen margaritas were paired with different courses. A plate of fried mozzarella and salad, followed by a bell pepper soup that blew our minds, could barely prepare us for the chicken cordon bleu that came dressed in a shimmering seashell. As we sipped on another frozen margarita (hibiscus and thyme, I believe it was), we were served with a Chateaubriand seared to perfection.
Our strongest recommendation from this trip – if you find yourself in Puerto Vallarta, take time to enjoy a meal prepared by Chef Marco in a Penthouse Suite just off the Malecón Boardwalk. You will not be disappointed!
