As UVC members, we enjoy Preferred privileges regardless of the room we book. While we didn’t stay in a preferred room, we did have a butler. We find varying value of preferred depending on the resort, as they typically have better room locations and amenities. We did enjoy the preferred lounge many times with great snacks throughout the day. They were helpful in guiding us before we went to the city and our butler (Carlos) was great in making sure we had everything we needed. He would find us around the pool, reserve the bali beds, and respond quickly to our text messages with general questions. While we had great experiences, our experience here is that paying for a Preferred room may not be worth the cost here. There is no separate preferred pool at this resort. Aside from the butler, the biggest benefit we saw was the option to enjoy Oceana for breakfast, which we did many times.
